There are two ways of providing education, first - teaches us how to make a living and the second how to live. The part of education which teaches us how to live is co-scholastic activity. Education without co-scholastic activities is like educating the mind without educating the soul. Co-curricular activities are the activities through which learners explore their abilities, eradicate their weaknesses and create a broader vision for life. Every activity in school life plays a significant role in development of students. Co-curricular activities are an essential part of school life and helps in enhancing learning process of students at school. Co-curricular activities are designed and balanced with academic curriculum so that every student gets an opportunity to learn beyond subjects and books.
Co-curricular activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in students. It includes athletics, cultural events, Library activities, science lab activities, classroom activities, creative arts and meditation etc.
Some of the Co-Scholastic Areas which are included in the school syllabus are as follows:-
The Life skills depicting the personal traits of a student are judged in accordance with CCE system. These consist of qualities such as confidence, obedience, regularity and punctuality, discipline, respect towards others and school property, neatness etc.
Thinking Skills - under this activity, there are various task which include self-awareness, problem solving, decision making, critical and creative thinking.
Social Skills - This skills includes Interpersonal relationship, effective communication and empathy.
Emotional Skills - • Under the emotional skills, the area covers managing emotions as well as dealing with stress.
Work Education - Our School's work education mostly covers computer operation and maintenance.
